to the internet home of First United Methodist
Church of Lompoc. We are one of the oldest
United Methodist Churches in California, people
first assembled for worship as Methodists in
Lompoc in 1874; soon after the city was laid
out, 133 years later we are still singing and
praising God every day of the week.
We are pleased this year to be the cultural home
of many of the premier musical groups in the
area: The Lompoc Valley Master Chorale, the
Lompoc Pops Orchestra, the Lompoc Community
Concert Series, as well as our own First
Methodist Organ Concerts. When you think of
music in Lompoc, you think of First Methodist

serve and support numerous missions both locally

Dear Friends of First United Methodist Church of Lompoc,
As we continue to "stay safe at home", I know that the isolation can be disheartening, even depressing. FUMC of Lompoc is here for you. We have a number of ways to spiritually assist you during this uncertain time.
First, we have Sunday morning worship services online. Every Sunday the scripture, sermon, and prayer, along with a couple of your favorite hymns are available for listening. Just look on the home page of this website and you'll find the sermon there. If you want to go back and listen to previous sermons, simply click on the Sermons tab above.
If you are a Facebook member and would like to see the sermon of the week live streamed, go to the church's Facebook page at 10:30 on Sunday morning to participate in worship. Our Facebook page is "Lompoc First United Methodist Church".
One final way to connect with us for Sunday worship is to send us your email address. We'll use your email to send you a Zoom invitation that will hook you up Facebook Live.

Second, all of our Bible Studies have been brought online through Zoom. If you are looking for an opportunity to study the scriptures during this quiet period, send us you email address and we'll send you an invitation. Our Bible Studies are:
- Tuesday Morning Bible Study – 6:00-7:00am on the Acts of the Apostles
- Thursday Morning Bible Study – 7:00-8:00am on the Gospel of John
- Thursday Evening Bible Study – 7:00-8:30pm on the Gospel of Luke
- Sunday Morning Bible Study - 8:45-10:00am on the Book of Genesis
Finally, if you find yourself feeling disconnected and low, please consider sending an email to me. I am happy to connect with you via phone or other digital options. We can talk about the great hope that is before us. This may seem to be a frightening time, but I believe God is working to make all things new, just as He did through the Resurrection of Jesus the Christ. There is hope, we may not yet know what it will be like, but it will be wonderful.
